1. Who we are
Aegis is the inline AI security sidecar sold at aegiscruc.io. The company is Aegis Unified, LLC. Checkout is processed by Stripe. Charges appear as AEGIS UNIFIED. Until Aegis Unified, LLC is filed, the Stripe account is operated by Plain Site Solutions. Buying a license is a purchase of software and a time-limited signed key, not an equity interest, ATO, or managed SOC.
2. Plans
Self-serve plans are Builder ($19 / month or $190 / year, 1 licensed node), Standard ($79 / month or $790 / year, 5 licensed nodes), and Enterprise ($199 / month or $1,990 / year, 25 licensed nodes). Prices are subscriptions billed by Stripe. The signed AEGIS-1 key matches the selected term. All three plans download the same public zip (Docker sidecar plus the Aegis Node appliance). They boot into Free Audit Mode. Live 403s and kernel EPERM require a paid AEGIS-1 capability key, not the zip download. The seats field in the key is the licensed node cap for that plan.
3. Trials
A 14-day self-serve trial is available on Builder, Standard, and Enterprise. A card is required. You are not charged until the trial ends. If the payment method is missing at the end of the trial, Stripe cancels the subscription. One trial per work email. Converted trials must replace AEGIS_LICENSE_KEY via the recover bookmark issued on the checkout success page — air-gapped hosts do not phone home. Work email and organization alone will not return the key. Longer guided POCs are issued by us, not by self-serve checkout.
4. License and use
The zip and key are licensed, not sold. You may run them for one organization — the legal entity named at checkout — on up to the licensed node count for that plan. The seats field is the contractual node cap; air-gapped hosts do not phone home a seat count. You may not resell the zip, share the private signing material (none is included), or present Aegis as FedRAMP authorized, FIPS validated, or highly available. Kernel EPERM warrants require Linux (Aegis Node) and a paid key. Docker Desktop remains userspace 403s. prove_kernel_grant.sh still films a real EPERM on a paid key.
5. Payments, refunds, cancellation
Stripe processes cards. Aegis never stores card numbers. Charges are due at checkout or when a trial converts, then on the selected monthly or annual interval. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first charge. Purchases are non-refundable except where required by law. Chargebacks after a key and zip have been issued may result in the license being marked canceled. Canceling the Stripe subscription marks the record canceled. Failed invoices mark the record past_due. In both cases recover and zip download stop immediately. Air-gapped hosts deny the license id after they ingest the next signed intel pack (revocation list). Until that pack is loaded, the signed key remains cryptographically valid until expiry — delete or replace the key on the host. Billing and license questions: support@aegiscruc.io.
6. Disclaimer
The sidecar enforces tool-path policy. It does not replace an IdP, EDR, or boundary firewall. Software is provided as-is. Liability is limited to the amount paid for the then-current billing term, to the extent permitted by law.
