What we collect
On the public site we collect the work email and organization name you submit at checkout, Stripe payment metadata (customer id, session id, subscription status), the signed license record needed to fulfill and recover your key, and optional beta-report fields on /beta (tool names, 403 body, latency). Do not paste a license key there. Public zip downloads are counted (time, SKU, truncated user-agent and referrer, and a one-way hash of the client IP — not the raw address). LinkedIn Insight Tag may record visits to aegiscruc.io for advertising measurement.
Payments
Cards are collected by Stripe Checkout. Aegis does not store card numbers, CVC, or bank details. Stripe's privacy policy governs that processing. Charges appear as AEGIS UNIFIED. Until Aegis Unified, LLC is filed, the Stripe account is operated by Plain Site Solutions.
Air-gapped installs
The licensed zip is designed not to phone home. Enforcement uses the signed AEGIS-1 key on the host. After a trial converts, you must replace the key yourself using the recover bookmark from checkout success. Packaged nodes do not automatically refresh licenses over the internet.
Retention and recovery
License records are kept so you can recover a key with the recover bookmark issued at checkout, plus the same work email and organization name. Email and organization alone are not enough. We do not sell this data. To request deletion of a license record after cancellation, write from that same work email.
